In July, I began working downtown.
Before I even got to work on the first day, I was drawn to the bizzarre light like some sort of moth-like shutterbug. It's fascinating down there, where a twisting canyons can be dark on one corner, and high noon on the next.
For months, I documented this using only my iPhone 6. Recently, as my tenure draws closer to the end, I've decided that a phone camera won't do. Today, at lunch, I brought my Canon out of hiding, and have pledged to document each day remaining during my lunch hour. I've also brought my 85mm lens out of the closet, and hope to apply a fresh eye, while I still hold residence in the Financial District.
